If a HW tournament was made by seeding the current top 16, how would it go?

One-night tourney or stretched out like what BT's doing? Because Overeem has by far the most GP experience, but he isn't the most durable. Stipe would be the favorite, but tourneys, especially short ones, test cardio, experience and durability. Barnett and DC would be great entries, therefore. While Hunt, BB and Tuivasa could go far.

The problem with this (or tournament style) is injuries. It'd be as if when an injury occurred to an NBA player, the entire team had to bow out.

Nah, that's just DFW bullshit. Alternates to the rescue!

Ya that's my point. Then you end up with a bunch of guys at the end that are only there because of injury and not from winning there bracket.

Chael Sonnen is the undisputed GOAT
S/O @Matty da Ranga for copying the bracket and some results from him

Tournaments are the ONLY fair way to achieve fair rankings and results.

Matchmaking is flawed by humans.
Matchmaking is completely unnecessary.
Matchmaking is political and controlled by greed.

Can you imagine if wrestlers in the Olympics had their next opponent selected by the whims of a matchmaker?

I can see Arlovski or Tai or Oleinik possibly even Tybura scoring the upset but the others don't look competitive at all bracket goes pretty easy down to the semifinals where I'd favour Blaydes in the rematch v Francis and the real interest is Stipe vs Blaydes which should be next anyways.
