If the UFC had a MW tournament..

Alright, so let's say the UFC has a MW tournament over the course of 2018, similar to what Bellator is doing with their HW tournament.

I personally love the tournament format and wish the UFC tried doing a few.

Let's say we seeded the top 8 MW's in the UFC and matched them up in a tournament to crown a new champ at the end of 2018. Who do you think would win this and how?

Here are my seeds (regardless of current rankings):

3. Yoel Romero
4. GSP
5. Jacare Souza
6. Chris Weidman
7. Michael Bisping
8. Kelvin Gastelum

I tend to agree with all, but think GSP would have a real hard time with Jacare.

So I'd have Jacare advancing, then beating Romero. Then I'd even pick him in the rematch with Rockhold too.

Whittakers a hard match up for Rocksalt. If he was able to deal with Romero's TDs, I don't see Rocksalt faring any better.

I agree , was going to say the same thing. It appears to be match ups based on thought desired out come.
