I'll be staying in Orange county, about half way between LA and San Diego. I'm going to try to train every day the week I'm out there. I'm going to hit up Atos SD and AoJJ for sure, what are some other places in the area I should check out?

Trumpet Dan seems fairly receptive of beginners at Brea

Cool I'll check them out. Thanks.

I'm a purple belt btw, not a beginner :)

I meant to say drop ins. Blah. That whole post was fucked up from the beginning, got his school confused with the tar pits.

Orange County:

-AoJ
-Gracie Barria HQ
-Checkmat La Habra w/ Lucas Leite
-Team Oyama w/ Giva Santana so he can show you 1000 ways how to armbar someone
-Iron Gym w/ Babalu
-Tinguinha

Checkmat La Habra. I am on Checkmat and last time I went up to La Habra this was who was at normal 1030 practice:

Lucas Leite
Marcello Mafra
Robinhyo
Arnaldo Maidana
Buchecha
Pantcho Feliciano

Don't forget sherdogger Sean Roberts.

Take the 91W and go to Signal Hill to check out Checkmat HQ. It's a brand new gym and Leo Viera teaches there.
