Oh didn't read correctly, he's an MMA wrestler so he implement his wrestler differently, don't know about pure wrestling, he would need some adjustments, and we'll I guess he's too old now to change totally the way he wrestles.

He switched to sambo/judo as a 12 year old.

Maybe that’s why he’s such an effective grappler in MMA- his grappling arsenal consists of 4 different martial arts whereas most others just do wrestling or BJJ.

If he was a pure wrestler his ground transitions wouldn't be so good, khabib has an overall great ground game with a big emphasis in chain wrestling but he is not a pure wrestler, he is an all around grappler.

wrestling/judo are many times more popular here in russia and also 1000 times more competitive.
