Is throwing feints (in pure boxing) considered too advanced for beginners?

There's a boxing gym nearby that I wanna go to. I wanna spar with somebody...

Anyway... so what? Is feinting too advanced?

Thanks.

This is a weird question. First, if you want to go to a boxing gym, do it man. Second, feinting isn't too "advanced." If you're a beginner it might mean you don't know what you're trying to accomplish with feinting, but gotta try it out in order to learn, right?

No it isn't at all. There are people who don't box who still know to feint, like older brothers picking on their siblings.

They will cut your hand off.......You can't do feints until you earn the brown shorts.

I mean, it's a good thing to learn. But you need to be deliberate, even if it is to fake the guy into thinking something. If you aren't feinting convincingly, someone will just bite onto it and smoke you with a right hand.

Sounds dangerous TS.

Are you sure you really want to DO THIS??!:eek:

Im pretty sure you have to be a black belt with dem hands first

feinting is something you can learn over your whole fighting career

Pretty much every striking art uses feints. Some ppl do it instinctively, even without training. So I'd say no, it's not "too advanced". Go to the boxing gym and have fun.
