The best ref is the one who doesn’t make their presence known. I remember reading from another poster you can tell the quality of a ref if they don’t gesture during their introduction because they realize it isn’t about them

Best ref by far and probably the GOAT. I'm sure he's made mistakes but I don't remember any. Consistently makes great calls with firmness and confidence. Herb and Dan on the other hand fumble so much I wonder if they know what the hell they're doing.
