How can Nunes legally work for Invicta if she is contracted by UFC and also current champ?

Good pick up for the UFC. Jennifer Maia is a good fighter. One of the better ones at flyweight. With all of the new people going down in weight it is harder to say where she is in relation to some of the other top fighters but she is up there.

Agnieszka Niedzwiedz and Vanessa Porto are other good pick ups that the UFC could bring in from Invicta. Both are better then over half of the current UFC women's flyweight roster and are competitive with many of the better fighters in that division.

UFC brings them more money then fighting in Invicta. They have fewer capable challengers in Invicta too so not much for them there but to via for the belt again. Developmental levels are pretty much the same with fewer chances to fight in Invicta, most likely, versus the UFC.

shes only helping with talent spotting

so shes some brazilian girl thats not good enough for the ufc, so she tells invicta

the girl joins invicta, gets some wins, improves, ufc get her.. everyones happy

I see her signing as a good thing do to the fact she is
a legit fighter with legit training from Chute Boxe but
the only downside to her is her lack of English which
could prevent her from being marketable outside of
Brazil.

Lol at the feminazi warning. Good pickup though. Her name alone makes her more popular and marketable than most female fighters.

Looks like the big league just called up another one of Invicta’s champs. This time, it’s flyweight queen Jennifer Maia! So, what are your thoughts? Is it a good signing, a bad signing?

I don't see how this signing can be in the least bit controversial. Maia is ranked #1 women's flyweight in the world by Unified Women's Mixed Martial Arts Rankings:
http://www.mmarising.com/rankings/unified-womens-mixed-martial-arts-rankings/

Ranked #2 women's flyweight in the world by Fight Matrix:

Ranked #3 women's flyweight in the world by Tapology:

Ranked #4 women's flyweight in the world by MMA Weekly:
http://www.mmaweekly.com/womens-flyweight-mma-top-10-rankings-125-pound-limit

It is hard to imagine how anyone could reasonably justify not signing her for the UFC flyweight division.

*whistle* quite the ranking muncher..

All I know about her is she got cheap shot KO'd after 10 seconds by that german woman who got creamed in the UFC. That would be a while ago now.

I think it is a great signing, but I am getting weary of invicta/UFC.
They are fucking up WMMA and I see a much better effort by Bellator to build WMMA. So Great signing, but I hope they don't fuck this up...

Maybe the weirdest post I've ever seen comparing the three organizations. In what way is Bellator actually growing the women's divisions? They have the mostly stagnant FW division, where the champion said she doesn't feel like a champion due to how she's treated, and then you have the flyweight division, which is apparent to everyone on the outside looking in that Bellator treats as the "pretty faces" division.

Sorry, you are saying that creating a 145 LBS division and not hiring anyone in that division since its inception two years ago is a great way to manage it...
I see you make a lot of sense....if you don't think about it...
