The pandemic requires considerations that go beyond public health and so it was always going to be politicised. It cant be surprising therefore that the particular issues became attached to party-identities, especially in the US but also around the world.

Covid is less severe guys, everyone can come out and pretend like it was nbd all along. This is like a fight video where someone's "homie" comes in to get their back after the opponent is already knocked to the ground lol
