Media Jon Jones predicts Israel and Alex Pereira 2

I am rooting for Izzy again, but Jones is obviously right. The difference between these two fighters is extremely small, but Pereira has the slight edge as we've seen three times now. In order to win Izzy really has to fight his perfect fight. He can't afford to take any damage that limits him in any way or make a mistake that leaves an opening for Pereira to land that left hook.

Pereira knows the same and is very aware Izzy is capable of beating him if he doesn't bring his best the entire time and slips up for a moment, which I'm hoping he does a little earlier in a round this time.

Realistically, how does Izzy win?
He's in there with a guy who can eat his shots and at anytime can give him the kill shot. He can match him on the feet.
So he either implies the first fight strategy, trying to outpoint him and utilize speed and timing,
Utilizes a grappling heavy approach, which Alex is probably expecting and trained for,
Or he mixes them together, but in doing so implies a style that isn't his strongest at all and therefore is allowing himself room for increased error, lending to another Alex ko

He's certainly capable of winning, he was winning until he wasn't in the first fight.
But even then, that after the bell shot likely fucked things up for Alex early, and the few grappling mistakes in the scrambles in the 3rd(?) Round lost him that one completely. Then iirc Alex won 2, and obviously 5 if it hadnt been stopped, So it was pretty close.

Tldr, Izzy has to be absolutely perfect or he's getting slept again. This is his stylistic kryptonite.
the only way is he has to be perfect for five rounds. he almost got a stoppage last time too, there just wasnt enough time in the round. it can happen. but everything has to go literally perfect for him. otherwise poatan is wiping hiim out faster than they are the amazon

Izzy needs to dictate the pace and take more risks. Outpointing is too risky, he'll be letting Pereira push forward and pin him against the fence which is where Izzy was most vulnerable. He can hurt Pereira as we've seen and that was when he went first while getting backed up. He needs to go for the finish.

Sounds like u are overly protective of a fighter who won but did look beatable.

By all means bet ur house and life savings in the rematch.

Good luck to u.
What’s overly protective about stating facts? Seems you are overly protective of your opinion.
