When Aldo cracks Chad at the bell and Chad doesn’t know where he is :)

Great fight between 2 of the most explosive and well rounded fighters of all time in their primes.

Aldo and Chad were never the same after that war.

Seems like Max is too far skill wise for anyone but the Ortega fight would have been interesting. Even if Max moves up without fighting Ortega it will be nice to see new matchups.

Both guys left everything in there. They both got KO'ed on the first round of the next match.

I absolutely agree, this is one of the best fights I've ever seen. It's odd that some of my favorite all time fights leave me feeling a little conflicted. Fights like this one and Lawler versus MacDonald II were so amazing, but all four of those guys took so much damage it kinda makes me feel bad to have enjoyed it so much.

At the bell.

Dana White, the Fertittas, and even Chad Mendes confirmed that they didn’t hear the bell at all because it was so loud in the arena.
So if those 4 can't hear it, then the two shots AFTER the bell, magically transform to AT THE BELL?

I saw and heard the fight several times. They were clearly after, but I don't think intentional. I'm just questioning your logic, or more accurately, lack thereof .

In conclusion, if a fighter punches another fighter after the bell, regardless of how loud it is, regardless of him hearing it or spectators hearing it, is STILL AFTER the bell.

Awesome fight though and yes, both fighters were very different after this fight. Their chins were never the same.

Great fight indeed.

Had salty Aldo haters out in full force squealing about Mendes almost getting KTFO at the bell.

After the bell. Clearly after. He threw the left life half a second after the bell sounded and the right is CLEARLY after the bell.

Insane fight, probably my favorite fight from either guy.

Great fight

Shame about the cheap shot altering it though

Herb Dean is shit

You're missing the point. If neither guy heard the bell, it doesn't matter that it was after. They were both still fighting. The problem with shots after the bell is that one guy stops fighting and the other throws a cheap shot.
