It wasn't my day, these aren't my years… what next? I don't know ‍♀️ After the fight I wanted to take off my gloves and leave them in the octagon ... but I was not able to do it despite all the pain, effort, sacrifices and tears, the UFC is, has been and will be one of the most beautiful things that has happened to me in my life ❤️ I achieved things that I never dreamed of, met amazing and wonderful people, visited wonderful places and experienced such an amazing adventure that gave me such beautiful emotions that it cannot be described in words ... ❤️

I am grateful for everything that happened to me, even for these painful losses because I know that they will bring something good to my life after all (I just have to wait a bit)
Jessica congratulations once again on a great win and I wholeheartedly wish you good luck in your future career

UFC thanks for everything ❤️ for a wonderful life full of passion, for wonderful emotions and for having been able to experience it all ❤️ thank you all for your support but don't worry, I'm fine and I'll be fine ❤️ #ufc #lovemyjob #thankyou # ufc265 #houston #texas #usa #lodz #poland #kk #kz

I was bummed out... I don't know what she was thinking going into Jessica's guard there.

Either way, I hope she finds something else that makes her happy as well :)
Karolina is awesome.

Damn that's basically a good bye message. I didn't know what to expect after this fight but i knew she couldn't afford a loss vs Penne. At all costs she had to win that one.

I remember her performance vs Rose and how she dropped Joanna. KK was legit something happened. I wish her the best.

Awww... Nice lady.

You can see she knows she's done.
I don't necessarily think she's done. She just showed some pretty bad fight IQ going to the ground with Jessica Penne with like 4 minutes left in the round.

It was a fun fight, and she might get cut but if not I think she might have a few more fun fights left in her.

What a nice lady, I wish her all the best!

I love both these ladies but Jessica Penne only had one route to victory. KK had her back against the wall and she gave that fight to her on a si l ver platter

I think it was a giant lapse of reason. I hope her arm is ok

cut her, she sucks

Very classy comments. Always liked her. Fun fighter and she seemed legitimately kind and likable.

It’s tough to see someone who was damn good fall off like that. Happens often in the sport though. We tend to forget that the anomaly fighters who still look competitive even near the tail-end of their careers are fewer and further between than the ones who gradually or sometimes quite suddenly fall off hard.

The window of being in your prime can be pretty short in combat sports. KK was absolutely in that space when she beat Namajunas and hung in there against an elite Jedrzejczyk.

She might not be much of a fighter anymore but she's still a sweetheart...

Always liked Karolina so wish her all the best, was surprised that she was favored in that fight tho

That’s the thing. KK assuredly realizes that while Jessica is a quality fighter with a great grappling game, she is also a specialist and not an exceptional takedown artist. Like many great bjj fighters without much striking to speak of and without exceptional wrestling, Penne would normally have a vulnerability to someone with the well rounded skills of KK- much better striker, strong enough grappling game to stifle her. Penne had been gone four years before her recent wins. I’m sure Karolina is aware that it was a relatively favorable matchup. And losing that type of fight can be very dispiriting.

She’s bad at fighting and made a living off of it so that’s commendable.

it’s like making a living off a triple jump competition and you’re only a torso. She milked it and made some money off it.

Or like the next playboy cover but your name has to be Gary.

Think about how crazy her statement is: she wanted to leave her gloves in the octagon (retire) but couldn't make herself do it.

99.9% of the people on the planet would never be able to make themselves get into the Octagon once, let alone a dozen times.

KK on the other hand, just can't make herself stop fighting even when she's getting beat up and losing.
