Jumping in the ring and attacking a fighter after a a bout should be an automatic and permanent ban. None of the prematch or mid match shit talk has any bearing on this. What if it happened to a guy who had just been KO'd? What if it actually did damage to a fighter, can you imagine if this goon broke Connors orbital or something with a bare knuckle sucker punch?

No it's not gangster. But the main point is that there are some people who you can talk shit to in life, and some people with whom you're biting off more than you can chew. Conor made it way more serious than he was equipped to handle.
