Leon Edwards has been in the UFC for 9 years and has lost a split decision in his debut and a lost to Kamaru. Which he avenged twice in dominate fashion. His UFC record is 13-2 -1 and hasnt lost a fight in 8 years. He has quietly amassed a pretty spectacular UFC record

He has 11 wins in 8 years... not that many fights.
The Belal fight should have been a DQ loss.

Pretty sure he’s the Goat, right?

Until he loses and then we come back to GSP.
Remember Woodley and Usman.

Lots of exciting fights to make with leon, Interested to see him against the top WW crop because other than usman he's really not fought any of them

He has been fighting cans most of his career. Also got lucky against Belal, was losing the fight so decided to poke him. Pulled similar strategy off yesterday with over 10 attempts to cheat.

Also, his opponents were pretty weak.
People complain about Colby's opponents.
But both have the same level of competition.

Luque - he was green back then. Good fighter, but bad fight IQ against technical strikers

LW old Cowboy

LW RDA who didn't do much at WW

Barberena - entertaining brawler, but not much of a win

SD against Gunnar - decent fighter, but not dedicated to fighting, should have been a LW

LW Nate - come on, Nate loses to every ranked WW. And yet, Nate could have won if he wasn't utterly... cannot continue, fighter bashing, but you got the point.

Tumenov was beating him bad on the feet until the sub

Don't get mad, it is what it is

I was really impressed with his TDD.

He has no glaring weakness.

All around greatness.

The eyepoke against Belal was bad, but no way he was losing that fight before the eyepoke. He was picking Belal apart and making it look easy.

More like overrated

He lost to Claudio and Usman
Should have a DQ loss to Belal
Got rocked by past prime LW Nate
Got dropped by Barberena lol
Won a split against Gunnar

His best wins are against 35+ years old fighters

also he's never fought in Bellator so he can't be good.

People only complain about Colby's opponents because he keeps getting title shots off of single wins after being broken and finished by Usman.

Leon fought the right kind of competition for a guy making his way up. The killers are coming for him now, but his record is already looking better, having just beaten the consensus top 2 WW of all time twice.
