LHW is now the worst division in the ufc

Jan still beats Rakic Ankalaev and maybe even Jiri

The most shocking part to me was how terrible Jan's TDD was. I mean Glover got him down twice with EASE. I did not see that coming.

Izzy had better TDD against Jan, than Jan did against Glover.

I thought Jan would stuff a takedown or two, throw a few combinations and land the polish power against the slower Glover and that would be that. I'm really shocked by how that played out. Jan didn't look right.
 
Man i missed this entire event thinking it came on normal time. Thinking the fight was in the u.s long on to br app. To see a pick of jan getting choked out.

He went to split decision with an old middleweight Jacare and got knocked tf out by Santos less then two years ago.

Saying he 'dominated' a middleweight in a workmanlike decision where nobody got hurt is a stretch.

Reyes is busy getting his salad tossed repeatedly. Jiri smashed his face up so bad he's on an extended break. Its possible the war with Jones took something out of him he didn't recover from, who knows.

Either way, Jan is a likeable, solid mid-tier fighter who never had championship qualities. A 42 year old Glover just walked through him with complete impunity.
 
That fight was very low level. It kinda looked like a charity fight between 2 retirees.

Jan looked super slow, with no gameplan, just kinda "happy to be there" without really trying to win this fight.

Glover didn't look much better, very hittable, super predictable. But that was more than enough to win.

It's honestly kinda embarrassing that these are supposedly the best 2 LHWs atm (obviously they aren't)
 
stupid ass hater thread. glover looked good, he implemented his game plan, end of story. jan looked 'bad' because teixera kept putting him on his ass. he fought a great fight.
 
The hanged dude took revenge on Jan, it was going to happen eventually, you can't fuck with those dark forces.
 
it's been almost as bad as HW for a long time now. nothing new really.

He got out fought that's all. I think this result is only shocking because Sherdog counted Glover out. He's always been dangerous. Tbf it probably has something to do with Jan turning Gus into a panic wrestler and Gus outboxing Glover. That said, this is MMA gentleman, lots of ways to play the game.

Perhaps Jan can't handle being the favorite.

I don't remember when was the last time Jan was a favorite in a fight, it was a very long fight streak without being the favorite, and when he finally become the favorite, perhaps he couldn't handle the pressure.

Even Luke Rockhold was a big favorite against Jan.
