Been having vivid dreams lately so this topic came about in my head.

lucid dreaming.
what is it? dreams which you can basically control
how you get there? go to sleep j/k
my experience... i met sandra bullock and got a blow job. seriously woke up and thought/felt like it was real. for real i have the mental image of sandra(90's era from the movie Speed) gobbling my knob like a pornstar. it was awesome

No idea how to get there, but the most lucid dream I ever had was when I was 15...

I was really sick with the flu, and as soon as I passed out I felt like I had an out of body experience. Imagine your soul/ghost of yourself coming out of your body, like levitating. It was an awesome and very real feeling.

I just kind of floated around the house, the feeling of flying. Then I woke up and found out I had sharted

I think it was the codeine, but I'd like some more of that please

Mine happened when I was coming down with the flu. Basically I was flying through a futuristic city which looked like Blade Runner or The 5th Element. I wish I could say I enjoyed it, but I somehow felt nauseous through the whole experience. I woke up covered in sweat and with the feeling of razor blades in my throats.

I get them all the time. I know I'm dreaming. Although I don't really have control of it except for when it starts to go bad I open and close my eyes really quick and a completely different dream starts. Happens about once a week

Typically when I lucid dream it is very psychedelic in nature and I have a hard time controlling anything, however once in a while I get the awesome god mode lucid dreaming where you can have a harem and a pool of chocolate pudding n shit

There used to be an awesome thread about it.

I do somewhat frequently and they are always intense. I know they happen if I wake up in the middle of the night and fall back to sleep. When things start to go bad in them, I am aware I am only dreaming and actively tell myself to "open your eyes". There are times I wake up right away after , and there have been other where it's a struggle and it's like my eyelids are glued together. After a while of "struggling" me eyes will open and I wake up. I don't know what causes them but my subconscious recognizes them for what they are when it happens.

I don't know that it was actually Lucid dreaming but I once dreamt I was kite surfing and woke up absolutely euphoric. On two other occasions I've dreamt I was flying and again it was the most amazing feeling.

I had a night terror the other day, it differs from nightmares because they happen in your non rem sleep phase (I had it just 1 hour after falling asleep), it felt really weird, like it felt ''real'', not really dreamy at all, you can even feel thrashing about until you wake up. Maybe it felt so real because the dream was about a ninja-like figure RNC choking me out in the same room I was sleeping in.

I started taking notes on my dreams, and then I started getting more and more dreams. I made many attempts to acknowledge I wasn't awake in the dreams. Usually I'd wake up immediately until I got used to it. That took a while, but eventually I started having the most vivid dreams where I'd change people I was interacting with and the subject. Then I stopped writing my dreams down, and stopped getting as many dreams. I started having really vivid nightmares, then I stopped and lost the cool dreams.

Have these all the time, I can literaly wake up go for a piss lay back down and pick up the dream where it left off

I have them fairly often. I have a house in one that is nothing like my house on a road that is nothing like the road I live on. It gets very detailed on the house and the property it is on. It isn't like anything I've ever seen.

There are many other random dreams that I am able to use reasoning to convince myself that it is just a dream even though it seems very real.

If we don't know what it is or how to get there, how do we share our experiences?

Cynicism. That's how I achieved my first lucid dream-state as a child, and have been able to do it from time to time ever since.

Lucid dreaming makes for fun fights and flying, among other things.

When something is happening that's too good to be true, it's because it isn't. The first time I ever realized I was dreaming, was because I found a bag of gold coins. I knew I'd never be that lucky, thus realizing it must be a dream.

For me it usually happens in the last dream of my sleep cycle. I’m in the dream and suddenly recognize I’m dreamimg and think “Yes!!! I can fly!!” So the. I start flying and conjuring up nude ladies and then I wake up seconds later.

i lucid dream all the time, many times on purpose.

my trick is to wake myself up 2-3 times early into my sleep before sleeping. set alarm for 1am then 2am, then 3am, you will then lucid dream so easy as u get stuck between heavy rem and light rem.
