The ref said no established position. Don't agree but thats the reason he gave. Had to turn the volume up really load to pick it up.

btw,check out that beautiful judo throw by Margarida in first part.

Rick told me that Margarida said something to the ref about restarting in the leg lock so the ref changed his mind and stood them up. Rick talked to the ref afterwords and the guy said "he wasn't sure on what to do" which is kinda bs but whatever. Great fight anyway

Yeah the ref looked a bit confused. I think he was going ot resart them on the mat from the leg attack at first but then couldn't decide on exactly how to position them and then just decided screw it stand them up.

The ref (Trey) attempted to get both guys to restart in the same position (Macauley was belly down, basically transitioning from the heel hook to the kneebar), but Rick sat right to his butt and Margarida tried to wiggle his knee free. Tough call, but not a bad one.

nice match. macauley has a damn good halfguard game and leg attacks. i remember being really impressed with his ADCC matches too.

it's a tough break, but IMO you can't re-start with the sub locked in.

Balanced studios is under Relson Gracie, Relson Gracie loves Margarida, why would the two compete?

Oh okay. Still last time Margarida was in Hawaii he came to the academy and Relson was overjoyed and called him a nickname I forget what it was but that was one of the happiest I ever seen Relson as much as when Renzo and crew came to train. I was introduced to him and told to train with him as much as I could which never came because they were partying every night. Hahaha.
