Oh he did his Homework alright, and going by his record he's a terrible student with another F of a performance. He lost against Aldo, Frankie, and now Dom, the UFC have given him chance after chance to make a name for himself and establish his legitimacy and he keeps fumbling the bag.

I don't think the UFC is rooting for him. More that the UFC is using him to see where the old heads are. If you can't beat him you can x whoever out of a title shot. Frankie vs Cruz is the fight to make. Frankie will probably lost but at least he won't die.
