I have never used a pre-workout supplement before mainly because I've never needed it. Once I get going on my run and get about 5 minutes into it, my blood is pumping and I get motivated. But I wanted to try something different and mix things up so I tried a N.O. Xplode packet in 5oz. of water. I always start my workout with a 5 mile run as I center my workout plan around cardio. I'm a huge cardio guy ever since I was in high school on the track and field team and the football team as well as my Marine Corps years.

When I got done with my run and went on to work out I couldn't help but feel like I was about to have a heart attack. I felt very light headed and I puked three times. I used the red fruit punch flavor and the puke was solid red like the punch. It also seemed to make me feel like I was having an anxiety attack.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, did you quit taking it and did the side effects go away? I don't think I'm ever going to use that shit again. I didn't need it before and I don't need it now.

Did you drink enough water?

That might be one problem. They say that you have to eat before taking it but I know that wasn't the case for me because I ate a damn 22oz. ribeye steak about an hour before going to the gym. I was loaded. Maybe more water and maybe I should take a half of a packet for a while to get used to it.

I drink a good amount of water a day but I don't think I drank any more than a liter of water before I took the packet at the gym.

always, LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER. Esp with cheap marketing-enhanced supplements.

Does N.O. explode contain a lot of sugar?

How much water would you drink before taking it? Ever since I watched a video Jon Fitch put up about waking up and instantly drinking 3 12oz. glasses of water first thing, I started doing that. Then I drink up to or more than a liter before ever going to the gym.

Thanks for the info.

No sir. I seen 0 grams of sugar on the ingredients.

Well I'd just look up the ingredients and find out exactly what they are to see if it was the product that made you puke or other factors. I remember my dad a long time ago once tried creatine when he was powerlifting and he could almost feel his blood pressure rising and his body sweated a lot, he didn't take it again. I'd list the ingredients and see if anyone can give input about them.

Actually , it does have creatine in it. Not a whole lot but it does contain it. It also contains caffeine which bothers me a little because it makes little sense to have caffeine in it if it's N.O. Either way, I think it may be that I should have taken a lighter dose. The packet is one serving so I thought I would be okay. I noticed that it made my run a bit harder because I was sweating a lot more than normal. I usually breeze through my runs. I was hoping to beat my usual time but it was contrary to that.

Well, I've looked up some side effects of N.O. Xplode and here's what I found

1. You can find yourself letting out some nasty gas every now and then that can be positively used as a new age chemical weapon. That is particularly embarrassing when in public or worse, in the company of hot things out there. Increasing your consumption of water might help but ultimately it’s all about how your body gets along with NO Xplode. You might want to take it on an empty stomach. Other than that, make sure you prepare the suspension by stirring and not shaking for best results and minimized side effects.

2. NO Xplode like any other creatine-containing product, increases the workload of your kidneys in filtering out waste substances from your body. In healthy people, these NO Xplode side effects are absolutely insignificant but people with a family background tainted by kidney diseases or renal complications, you better not indulge in large doses. A fair usage with a break every 12 weeks is what you need.

3. Some people reported muscle cramping as one of the NO Xplode side effects. That is not technically true. Muscle cramping results from dehydration, something that occurs when you increase your workout intensity but keep your fluid intake constant. This NO Xplode side effects if we can term it as such can be eliminated with the intake of enough water. All you have to do is go through all the instructions on the label, not just a few select lines.

4. Caffeine is an important constituent of NO Xplode so you have to investigate how caffeine works for you. This is really personal. For some people, caffeine is no problem at all. In fact, I am one of these people. For others, particularly people with sleeping disorders, caffeine can prove to be nasty, causing heavy stimulation which is great but a heavy crash also follows suit. You need to experiment with your level of caffeine tolerance before you start on NO Xplode as your pre-workout supplement. If you don’t respond well with caffeine, you might be subject to the following: wild heartbeat rate, insomnia and nervous extremes of emotions.

5. Some users are also known to have reported different degrees of headaches. This is one the NO Xplode side effects due to the presence of nitric oxide in the bloodstream. The blood vessels dilate and blood pressure drops. This medical condition causes dizziness and headaches.

6. Creatine also produces the following NO Xplode side effects: unwanted allergic reactions including swelling of the lips and tongue, heavy breathing, and an uncomfortable constriction of the throat.

NO Xplode Side Effects: The Other Side Of The Coin!

Just wanted to know if there is anyone out there who has experienced the same negative effects of this product as I have. First let me say that this product did work for me in the beginning, It got me pschologicaly focused and really pushed me through the workouts and also did show results, but here is my story. I first began using this janurary of 08 I began taking it and cycled it properly as directed. I started at quater scoop and by the end of week 1 I was at a full scoop. I took 1 scoop before every workout for 2 and a half months and then stop taking the product as I was told to not go more than 3 months on the product without a couple weeks to a month break off it. I noticed extreme results and felt great I really thought the product was gods gift to people who train. I then started back up on N.O in May I began taking 1 scoop before every workout and did this until July, once again great results, at times I would feel a little wired hours after the workout and once in a while insomnia but nothing out of the ordinary. Might I add I am a healthy person and never had any medical issues. I then went off the product for 2 months through to october. I started on the product again and once again felt great nohting but results and no problems other than the ones I stated before.

Now this is where the story turns. In December of 08 I experienced my first anxiety/panic attack in a movie theatre. I was sitting down watching a movie and i felt like i could breathe properly without taking deep breathes and felt very uneasy, only at that time I thought it was nothing as I had never felt that before and just strugged it off and went on. Then from that day on every couple of days I would find myself waking up at night with a feeling of shortness of breath and almost as if I had to really force myself to breathe taking in deep breaths, once again being the person I am I let them go as nothing and carried on. This Continued Until New Years. I had gone to Montreal for New Years and returned back home on Jan 1st 09. On the next day after returning i felt very dizzy and weird almost as if I could not focus my eyes on anything, I was able to walk but my head just wasnt right. I thought these feelings were due to the heavy partying in Montreal and so I slept for a few days waiting to return to normal.
This dizzy feeling did not pass for 2 months i was in limbo between doctors and specialists being tested for inner ear problems, sinus problems and also taking CT scans. I was taking all kinds of medications but nohting was working. I went into a heavy depression, no longer doing the things I loved, I gained lots of weight and was completely miserable, I ate garbage and slept. From being completely healthy to rock bottom, my life was in shambles and I couldn’t do anything about it. Finally after all kinds of medications blood tests coming back saying im healthy and doctors giving me no explanations to why I was feeling this “dizziness” I snapped out of it, I realized If i was going to get better It was up to me. My head finally returned to somewhat normal and to lose the weight I was back in the Gym. I began working out and started feeling great again. So after 2 weeks of training I went back on the N.O XPLODE, now the day after I took it I started experiencing heavy panic attacks, heavy anxiety and constant trouble breathing as well as chest pains. I had to go to the E.R a couple times becasue I felt like I was going to pass out. I now realized that all my medical issues are due to this product I developed heavy anxiey and panic attacks. I believe this product has brought on my health issues. What do you guys think? have you experienced anything I have gone through?

I am experiencing the exact same thing. I took NO Explode for 6 months straight and all of a sudden…these symptoms (palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, and numbness in extremities) hit me hard. I am 23 years old 5′10 180lbs, no medical history. It has been happening to me since June (4 months)…I am dizzy almost all the time. I cannot sit through my college classes, church, and movies without feeling extremely dizzy. I have been to the neurologist, cardiologist and ENT…nothing to report. It is not getting any better and am wondering if I have permanently damaged my body.

i took no explode for five to six months straight… now that i am off it i have horrible anxiety in public. i always had anxiety but not nearly as bad as i do now. I know its a side effect of taking the no exlode but im wondering if ill ever return back to normal…

have been experiencing almost the exact same thing as you. I took no xplode beginning in march of 09 with excellent results and again from july to september with continuing results. Due to school I took a few months off from the gym and started again in december taking arnge krush at the advice of the guy at gnc. Through two cycles, again through September, I saw amazing strength gains but also some undesirable weight gain that I didn’t see with no xplode. I have recently started using no xplode again and have been experiencing similar symptoms to what you have described. Shortness of breath, trouble concentrating and a general lack of enthusiasm for the things I love doing. I almost withdrew from school because I was so disillusioned with my major. I too have gone through several medical exams with nothing but a clean bill of health. I find it hard to believe that a supplement such as no xplode could have such a profound mental effect but I have never even come close to experiencing these symptoms in the past. I am going to stop taking it for a few weeks and post the results.

N.O XPLODE SIDE EFFECTS! REAL! READ PLEASE?

Dude, that's exactly what it's supposed to do to an extent. I have no fuckin clue how anyone can enjoy that shit or anything similar to it. Honestly I think anyone who says that shit is good doesn't really work out or is fucked in the head.

I'm the same as you when it comes to pre-workout, never really need anything I do some cardio and I'm ready. I bought into the hype and figured I'd give it a try same effect. How you can concentrate and actually get a good work out with that kind of rush is beyond me.

Yup, looks like I'm done with the shit. I'll just stick with my usual stack of 100% whey, glutamine, and daily vitamin. There's no need for anything else in my opinion. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to try it out and it fucked me up. I ended up leaving the gym like 30 minutes earlier than I usually do and that's contrary to the purpose of taking it at all.

It's supposed to light a fire under your ass and get you wanting to STAY in the gym. I felt like if I stayed another minute I was gonna die. I left the gym an hour before Strikeforce came on and that was 8pm. It's 3:00am now and I'm JUST NOW starting to feel normal again.

That's just it, it never gave me any kind of rush. It made my heart beat faster than normal and I sweat twice as much. Bottom line, the shit doesn't work and it's probably horrible for you in the long run.

I completely agree, a good run gets your blood pumping enough and if you need anything else then your heart truly isn't into fitness.

That stuff is garbage. You shouldn't be taking it to begin with

I don't like No-Xplode any more than you guys do, but you need to be careful of attribution error, and try to approach this with a level head.

WHOAAA! Wait a minute now ...

NO Explode is one of the best products out there provided you know what purpose it is for and how to use it.

This stuff is designed purely for weight lifting athletes who are pushing muscle failure on heavy lifts. It is not meant for ballet dancers, mountain climbers, skate boarders, BJJ practitioners, marathon runners, Kung fu monks and strippers etc.

Once you understand that this is a weight lifing supplement here is how you use it:

1) Never start with a full dose. You need to assess your tolerance for it. If the recommended dose is 1-2 scoops, take half scoop with lots of water and see how your body responds. If you feel dizzy you need to take half of the half. If you feel a "kick" with half scoop then you stick with half scoop every day until your body gets so used to it that you dont feel the kick anymore.

2) The product works on heavy lifts in the last few reps. Thus is you were squatting 275 lbs for 5 reps you will be able to do 6 or seven reps while on it.

3) Know that every time you use it it will become less intense than the last time. That is why you have to increase the dose It should take you 45 - 60 days to max out on the dosage. This means that after 45 - 60 days you will be taking maximum recommended dose and getting the same kick that you got when you used that tiny half scoop. Once that happens you can not exceed the recommended dose. You need to get off of this. This will result in lethargy and crash but that will go away. This stuff needs to be cycled.

Conclusion: This is for pre-contest bodybuilders / power lifters who can go on it 45 - 60 days before competition just so that they could acheive full muscularity / strength at the day of the show. Since they hve a lay off period after that, the crash and lethargy is not a problem for them. If you martial arts program leading up to a fight demandes intense weight training you can use it with some benefit but after the tournament be ready to feel lazy and lethargic. It wont be permenant.

I used NOXplode a while back and got it from a guy who used it for the first time, just like you. he took a serving before going on a bicycle ride and almost threw up with his heart racing.
Personally, it worked fine for me, but I never used it in any cardio intense workouts until after I'd been taking it for a while.

First off, you're lucky.

Why are you lucky? Cause your body immediately recognized that stuff is complete shit and a lie. I took that stuff like others said quoted above for about a year on and off. I came down with severe anxiety, didn't sleep for days on occassion and ended up on Klonopin, which is some serious shit. Ended up getting sick for about 8 months with severe fatigue, couldn't move barely, lost a ton of weight. My doctors told me to basically be on the look out if I felt any abdominal pain that my spleen may explode. Along with liver damage. I lost my job and everything else that went with my life for that time period.

All that supplement stuff is B.S. I took everything and it's all B.S. They mark that stuff up so high in price and load it with MSG and all types of crap you don't ever need. None of it is ever approved by the FDA. Anybody could just take a shit in the stuff and seal it up and feed it to you. It gets taken off the market ONLY after it's been PROVEN harmful or fatal.

Do yourself a favor that I wish I did and throw all that crap out and stick to a normal diet and hard work.

Trust me on this.

You take that stuff to lift weights, nothing else. Dose properly.
