nail is splitting from finger, how lobg do you think it will take to heal?

Hey guys. I cut one of my nails too short and it separated from the skin at the top with some raw flesh showing. Does anyone have experience with this? I am wondering how long it will take to heal.

You've got to just rip the whole thing off, like a bandaid. It grows back in a few weeks good as new and with barely any pain.

However long it takes to regrow a fingernail. Why are you desperately trying to save a fingernail? A split a fingernail isn't going to suddenly regrow together. Fingernails are essentially the same thing as hair once they leave the inside of the body they're no longer alive.

I drilled sliced through a nail about a month and a half ago right at the top of the nail. It’s just now getting to the end of the finger and growing out.

I basically clear coated the nail to protect the nail and pulp. Should be healed up in a week or so.

It's serious, but it's not that serious. As long as TS gets his finger amputated in time he's good to go.
