The Master Plan:
Nate and his team don't want the Khamzat fight, but are forced into it because of the brutal UFC contracts. Nate reluctantly accepts the fight so that he can finally get the fuck out of the organization.
They devise a plan to convince Khamzat to miss weight; If Nate misses weight it would be too obvious that he was trying to screw over the UFC and he would be penalized harshly, maybe even have the fight cancelled and then he's stuck in the UFC for another year or more. Not sure how Nate convinced Khamzat to miss; maybe he offers him under the table money. It also makes more sense for Khamzat to miss the 170 mark since he's fought at Middleweight before. Once Khamzat misses, Nate can then get the fight that he actually wants against Tony Ferguson.
Hell, maybe even T-Ferg is in on this as well. The Nate fight makes way more sense than the fight vs Leech, plus he will earn way more from fighting Nate.
Khamzat will either not fight or be put against another freed up fighter from the card. Wouldn't be the Leech since he already decimated him before, so likely scenarios are either Holland or D-Rod. Holland makes way more sense because he's also fought at Middleweight before and he has some star power. Very favorable matchup for Khamzat.
Thursday evening Khamzat and Holland get into a spat, who knows if this was planned or not to set up a fight between the two. Regardless, Nate and company take the opportunity and get in on it. Even bigger bonus, the press conference is now cancelled.

- Dana calls Tony. Mid Wing Chun dummy practice Tony exclaims "Hold on, I'm training brotha" then accepts the matchup with Nate.
- Dana calls Nate, who is smoking a blunt with the USADA guy, and tells him Tony accepts. Nate says "that's wassup"
- Khamzat is paired with Kevin Holland, who is a preferable matchup for Khamzat and a big boost in profile for Holland
- Leech gets booked with D-Rod, which is also a great fight
- The legends win.
