It's difficult to say. Since baseball teams are private companies, they don't have to disclose their ownership details. They usually have one designated owner who usually owns the majority share of the team. People often get involved as minority owners for tax purposes as well as an investment. Adding another partner decreases the value of the other partners shares. It sounded like Giannis was added to the group instead of buying shares from another partner.
