How should the NBA deal with loads?

The modern nba is so skilled those old teams couldn't hang. You need to shoot 3s and be able to switch everything!

Mean while 76ers have a point guard who can't shoot free throws or 3s, and Embiid who looks like molasses switching onto point guards and are winning with no problems.

Dont they also have Tobias Harris and horford?

And butler last season?
They have 4+ players averaging 3pa per game, 4 at 4+ and Embiid at 3.9
And simmons can switch everything

I'm saying if you can have someone as slow as Embiid is out there on the perimeter switching onto guards, and a pg who's team can be successful despite not shooting a 3.. Then there is no reason a 90s team like the Bulls, or a team like the 01 Lakers couldn't make it today. Such a dumb thing to rip old players on.

The Sixers have a point guard that has elite playmaking and can get to the rim at ease. Seems like hed fit right into the 90s. Yet he's easy to gameplan for this era and is shut down in the yoffs.

Fair enough
I think, in general, they're just saying overall guys are better at switching defensively and shooting.

The days of slow, 1 dimensional marksmen like Steve Novak are over due to that

A guy who can shoot marginally worse, but is more athletic and can defend better is more fit today

Obviously that's not 100% pervasive

Also, Jordan and Kobe/Shaq against any era are serious problems defensively

It's more some of the cans around them on those teams that wouldn't hang today
