OH HELLL YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

Gonna be Stevens v. the Russian Khalmurzaev who just ippon'd the "UAE" fighter.

Gold medal for my country

Congrats to Tina

Massive performance from the Slovenian.

Now it's do or die time!

This bronze match, with Nagase v. the Georgian dude, is what everybody expected to be the finals of the division.

Nagase wins a fairly annoying defensive gripping victory by one Yuko 2 shidos to 0. Georgian dude looked great and super aggressive but Nagase was just relentless in defensive gripping.

Bullshit ippon call IMO. But perhaps I am biased.

It was a beautiful counter sure, but it wasn't done with the kind of speed and force, nor was it fully on the back, that I'd expect for an ippon.

Throwing Travis for ippon that was down to his knee is bullshit yes - maks yuko should be awarded for such a move imo...

I guess my "Olympic Travesty Edition" thread proves as prophetic as I'd claimed.

I think Travis represented the hybrid Judo-BJJ style with dignity. Bravo!

Hated to see Travis go down that way. It wasn't pretty Judo by any means, but it was what it was. Travis represented superbly and is a beast.
