EDIT: forget the word niche. Just anything, even if it's a big channel
For news, popculture content, or just for recreation:
-Boston Dynamics
-I just love robots and AI. And so relevant these days.
-JRE clips: no explanation needed
-Nerdrotic
- Cool San Franciscan former comic book seller who had his channel just blow up in light of the GoT season 8 fiasco. I don't watch his friends as much (Geeks + Gamers, ThatStarWarsGirl, etc) because they get a bit too triggered and every video is designed to make everyone more pissed off.
-Thor Skywalker
-for SW, Marvel, and movie content in general. Also covers tv shows. Level headed guy, very reasonable and doesn't try to feed off the outrage of angry fans but rather stays level headed in his criticism.
-Bad Guy INC
To listen to my favorite troll Chael Sonnen give his unique stories
-Xaenca
funny guy who intentionally tries to piss off people by making fun of various groups of fandoms in popculture. He himself is not really on any "side" so to speak. His channel isn't famous but deserves more traction
Jeremy Jahns
-For movie reviews. He went through a phase of being too easy to please but recently he's been giving more criticism. His reviews of certain..ahem...Disney movies have been surprisingly not so glowing when his former colleagues at collider were gushing over those awful films. He's not afraid to give harsh criticism (without getting emotional) now that he is independent and not having to tow a certain line. People give him flack for being fickle but I see it more as he woke up.
For things like news and politics, eh I just watch random journalists who recently went independent after feeling whichever side they were on went too extreme.
Channels I stopped watching:
-Basically all the Late Night shows. They got stale when they just started talking about the same shit everyday. Colbert used to be a lot funnier.
Vids I try to avoid:
-All the outraged videos designed to get you to click and get you enraged together. Youtube's algorythm is designed to envoke this emotion out of you so these are the vids that show up the most often.
