PotWR- The Power of the Pardon

Should I have used my Presidential Pardon Powers to unban Trotsky?

I strongly disapprove of Trotsky’s views but I will defend to the death his right to be an active sherdogger!
It's not in me to be able to predict the ridiculous policy positions and idiotic thinking of such folk, so it's better for me that they spell it out.

If only more of them were persuasive and articulate.

I shan't be changing my ways, so smoke me while you've got me, gentlemen.

Also, @Ruprecht, I was able to read Bad Samaritans during my time away and greatly enjoyed it. Given that I've never received an infraction from you that I would not concede was well-deserved, I both ask that you be the man to swing the sword on my eventual perma-ban and that you provide me additional readings for then.

I have literally never done this. I call stupid people stupid. For instance, you'll notice that I've never called Ted Cruz stupid, and he's the most odious creature in natural existence. The CDC estimates that every year 3000-4000 women miscarry or become infertile due to the sight of Ted Cruz. Also, I don't call people "retards," nor do I maintain that racists or culturally ignorant people are unintelligent: most brilliant humans in history were varying levels of racist. With that said, Charles Murray is a charlatan pseudoscientist who panders to dolts who cannot fathom the distinction between correlation and causation.

When talking to people who are responsive to reason, generally. ;)
EDIT: Also, I'll readily concede that I am meanest to you, specifically. But that's what you get for being the most intellectually capable of your lot: higher standards and harsher sanctions.

I recall you calling Charles Murray retarded or an idiot.

What do you think of Einstein’s racist comments about Chinese people?

Yeah, I probably called him an idiot. I regard him as one, even if he is capable of not being one. Plenty of charlatans and self-promoters are capable of intelligent thought, but choose the more profitable route of pandering (think: Ben Shapiro, and yeah Ted Cruz). Likewise, plenty of intellectually capable (think: Donald Trump) persons are idiots due to their inability to self-reflect, concede faulty positions, humble themselves to information, and not dig in their heels out of pride. I think it's a little bit of both with Murray.
But I certainly did not call him a "retard" or any derivation thereof.

I can't recall Einstein's quotes specifically. They were probably misguided, but par for the existing state of social scientific knowledge.

@HomerThompson should be impeached... simply for no "Die in a Fire", "Unban Nicky to reban Nicky", and "Hollywood Nicky is AbiG" options in the pole.

FOR SHAME

There needs to be a word between banned and umbanned, and cummerbanned, and bunned. Or maybe the idea should be binned.
It could be a boon though, buddy

Yeah, that's an important point. Someone who believes in giants or creationism today is probably pretty dumb, while someone who believed in those things 400 years ago wasn't necessarily (that is, wasn't necessarily "probably dumb"--it provides a reason to expect subnormality today and didn't before). That applies (different years) to a lot of the most-common sources of stupidity today (Austrianism, racism, religious fundamentalism, etc.).

Libertarianism.

In times of pardons, all evidence becomes public knowledge. What post(s) where cited as the reason for the ban in the first place? That will influence my decision here

Here you go, assuming this does not break the rules - in which case, double jeopardy.

Jesus, you're fucking stupid.

Social democracy - political ideology that originally advocated a peaceful evolutionary transition of society from capitalism to socialism using established political processes. In the second half of the 20th century, there emerged a more moderate version of the doctrine, which generally espoused state regulation, rather than state ownership, of the means of production and extensive social welfare programs. Based on 19th-century socialism and the tenets of Karl Marxand Friedrich Engels, social democracy shares common ideological roots with communism but eschews its militancy and totalitarianism. Social democracy was originally known as revisionismbecause it represented a change in basic Marxist doctrine, primarily in the former’s repudiation of the use of revolution to establish a socialist society.

The social democratic movement grew out of the efforts of August Bebel, who with Wilhelm Liebknecht cofounded the Social Democratic Workers’ Party in 1869 and then effected the merger of their party with the General German Workers’ Union in 1875 to form what came to be called the Social Democratic Party of Germany (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands). Bebel imbued social democracy with the belief that socialism must be installed through lawful means rather than by force. After the election of two Social Democrats to the Reichstag in 1871, the party grew in political strength until in 1912 it became the largest single party in voting strength, with 110 out of 397 seats in the Reichstag. The success of the Social Democratic Party in Germany encouraged the spread of social democracy to other countries in Europe.

So, again, you're a lazy ****wit who has been conditioned to reject news outlets that don't pander to you.
I doubt you've "learned" much of anything in quite some time.

Lol

Lefty's in the WR "warroom is clearly right leaning!"

Gets other left leaning people unbanned because they agree with them

The sticky section is a glamorized dump, change my mind.

Since this is a time of war in the WR, can you use marshal law to hold onto the presidency indefinitely?
Many people, experts, have told me that I can. I'm not planning on doing it now, but many very exceptional people are saying I could, so we'll see.

Only if you add Die in a Fire and Unban Nicky to Reban Nicky to your pole options.

Or I get a mob with pitchforks and torches yelling "rabblerabble"

Careful brother I don't want your name to get added to the 2018 purge list. @HomerThompson has been in talks with his advisors about securing the WR for the left. He now has the power to revoke the right leaning posting Visas. I certainly hope you aren't calling for the right to rise up in a WR civil war.
