Okay, it was never respectable, but it has a nice rug that really ties the War Room together

The President has peremptory authority to revoke clearances. There's nothing to be said about it, really.

Yes, I understand HOW they work, probably better than you. Regardless, they should NOT have clearance once they leave their position. You are making assumptions that these people will be asked for their input on a frequent basis, which is incorrect. They use this information for personal gain, be it as a talking head on a fake news show, to make money "consulting", or to simply feel important. If you think that's a good idea, you're wrong.
Dude, I guarantee that I understand them better than you do. The Chief of Staff of the Army has Former CSA Day annually, and most other senior-level Commanders do it as well. These people retain their clearances. There are predetermined venues where people are asked for their opinions. No, most of them don’t use it for personal gain. You’re clearly just very wrong here. Have you ever held a clearance or worked at a senior location before? I’m guessing that you haven’t.

He can. There’s nothing illegal about this move for sure. It’s just petty, and he’s whipping the man who didn’t tow the White House line. President Trump is a guy who simply can’t tolerate criticism, and that’s his biggest fault. Stuff like this are just pointless, self-inflicted wounds in the PR department, and he really should do better not to keep shooting himself in the foot like this. Who gave a fuck what John Brennan had to say 2 weeks ago? No one. Now, everyone is unnecessarily focused on this. The man should just focus on trying to govern and get shit done instead of appearing on the cover of every newspaper in America. It’s all just ridiculous for no reason whatsoever.

This happened yesterday and I guess I missed it but this is pretty big imo.

John Brennan is a more significant figure than you're giving him credit for. We'll be hear all about it over the course of the next year or so.

What do you all think the over-under is on what percentage of "Good" voters knew who John Brennan was?

I'd peg it at 15%

Just heard the name before? Over.

Actually know who he is? Under.

Fuck the CIA, and anyone who willingly associates with it.

Trump has the schlong. He decides who gets access to information and who doesn't. We voted for Trump because we want it this way. Don't like it, move to Russia...

@HomerThompson you too.

To be free of ones ability to think for themselves must be liberating. I almost envy people like you... but then I remember I enjoy not being a mindless drone.

Dudes like the one you replied to watch porn to cheer for the veiny boners

If he is a FORMER anything, the security clearance that comes with it, should be removed immediately...
I'm reading a book by John Kirakou, he was a cia agent sent to prison by the government for exposing torture. In his book most of the old higher up agents retained secret, not top secret clearance because they were often called in as consultants for currently employed cia and fbi agents.

"A good leader sets the example for others to follow," McRaven said. "A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself."

"Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities," McRaven said. "Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation."
If you believe that, you know nothing about leadership.
