At Middleweight.

This would be a fantastic striking battle. One is more dynamic striker, while the other is more methodical I believe.

Battle of the titans here.

if silva was as good as pereira in kickboxing he'd have been a professional kickboxer.
we are always talking about how mma strinking is way below any specialist from another combat sport and i don't remember Silva be so proficient with his wrestling in his career (i only remember the Hendo fight tbh).

Silva hit a beautiful switch on Nate Marquardt, which led to a ground and pound finish.

I don't see him wrestlefucking either, just pointing out some of Silva flashes of brilliance.

even this point is debatable, it worked with aggressive fighters, not very well with patient strikers.
i don't see Alex let Silva counter him so easily, i don't see Silva using his low kicks to bait him (nor damage him) and i don't see Silva putting his show while pressured by a guy who is always at reach distance.

it'd be a very different fight that the ones Silva used to have, with the gunshy Silva seen in fights in which he knew he didn't have a complete advantage on his opponent.

I would probably pick Alex personally, Silva was clearly a much better BJJ fighter but this would likely be standing and I never really bought his "Matrix" unhittable image, when people didnt get sloppy he tended to have to walk though offence to land quite a lot.

Common opponent in Israel.

Past prime Silva landed some decent shots even then who is on the level of a Poatan. So fair to say he could hang with Alex.

Prime Silva would have submitted him somehow.

As long as he doesn't try to clown Poatan, Anderson takes this.
