Prime Cormier vs. current Ngannou - who would win?

So my question to everyone is: who would you pick to win between HW prime (34-36 year old) Cormier and current Ngannou in a 5 round fight at heavyweight?

What would each fighter's path to victory look like?

Please refrain from answering if you're a super-fan or hater of either fighter.
 
In my opinion prime DC was pre-UFC days. He was peak strength, speed, size, and confidence. Even a past prime (IMO) UFC DC took big shots from Rumble...Of course all the damage amounted and Jones was the lucky SOB to crack his chin.

My answer is I'd have DC as a slight favorite in his prime. He had more loose relaxed boxing and bigger power. His wrestling was more beastlike due to his youthful age and size.
 
Judging by how he looked last year vs Curtis, Francis wouldn't last two rounds with Cormier.
 
Does DC immediately go for the TD or does he actually try and stand for a little?

No man can take a couple clean shots from Ngannou.
 
Cormier will take him down effortlessly.

He's shorter so I think he can shoot all day and not get clipped.

Unless... high kick... that might ruin his night :)
 
A 250 pound DC would take Ngannou down and molest him. Ngannou would eat GNP, gas out and get finished.

Batman would weaponize garlic, wouldn't even be close.

Gumby would frustrate superman and he'd gas, Gumby scores the upset.

Does the Lone Ranger start the fight on his horse?
If no, I got Vader.
If yes, I'm still sticking with Vader.
