Not saying that Chimaev doesn’t have a chance, but his best win at 185 was against a 170 lber…

Whittaker, on the other hand was a former champion and has been fighting the best that the division has had to offer for years now…

I don't take pre-fight banter too seriously, but what he said could be a good or bad thing. Whittaker obviously needs to bring his "A" game, but if he's overly aggressive--particularly early in the fight--it could backfire. Rob has a lot of of mileage, and he's been finished 3 times before. He needs to follow a solid gameplan, and should reserve any hyper-aggression and attempts to quickly finish the fight for select moments, most likely later in the fight.

Rob doesn’t have to finish Khamzat. He just needs to survive the first 2 rounds. Rob can get blitzed and put away. Costa came really close to stopping Rob too.

Rob is one of the hardest guys to beat in a decision. He just knows how to score well. He has been in fights where his face looks beat up but he still won the decision.
