Yeah, he was great, showed up and threw hammers. He gets extra credit for moving up in weight and competing at the highest level.

Well, yeah his record isn't the greatest when it's all said and done but the body of his work is entertaining, especially in highlights.

I was never a fan. But his LHW run at the end of his career was impressive.

If you got the right body type, height and cutting ability you can fight at a lower weight class early in your career.
There you enjoy a height, reach, weight advantage.
Less muscle means less oxygen -> more repetitions, more training -> better skills for the future.
That's why MM is good in all categories, while MW and up, you mostly got fighters only good at 2 categories.
Then when you move up, you got skills from a lower weight class at a higher weight class.
That's a bit what happened for Santos.
If O'Malley had something close to manly shoulders, he easily could go up 3 weight classes later in his career.
He probably still can do 1 easily, maybe 2.

Lol OK, let's ignore that you changed your entire statement to mean something else.. It still wouldn't be accurate, he hasn't been entertaining since the Jones fight. He was a very inconsistent fighter who had a nice run 4 years ago.
