Odd comparison, but "Scream" is far better, and not just a 90's play on "Porky's", that gets old after you leave high school.

American Pie > Porky's imo. Stifler, his mom, Jim's dad, Nadia, band camp chick. Harold from Harold and Kumar is even in it.

Yeah, but both were super popular 90s teen movies which both made a boatload of money. Likely aimed at the same exact demographic. So why not.

I never really liked Porky's. There's some funny parts but as a whole it's just sort of meh.

American Pie is a straight up classic. Like you said, so much more memorable stuff. I'm eagerly awaiting the fifth film.


I have such good memories of it (and American Pie 2). They really came out at the perfect time for me.

And honestly, it's the same thing for Scream. Both films were genre defining.

I mean, I would have liked to see a full frontal shot of her for a few seconds. I know they do the whole joke about "shaved" but they could have made it work somehow I'm sure. She did Playboy after all where you can definitely see her trimmed pubes. I would have liked that in the movie.
