Sterling was absolutely pathetic

Everybody misses the point. I had debate on Facebook last night and just couldn't be bothered to keep explaining. Was the knee illegal? Yes. Was sterling hurt? Yes. Could sterling continue and put on some of worst facial acting I've ever seen? Also Yes. Yan was a fool and sterling took the easy win..

The only thing that's "pathetic" are you neckbeards that lost money betting on yan, and blaming it on sterling. You can argue that it's not a good rule, and I'd agree, but it is the rule and they have to follow it. As for "acting", sterlings head snapped back ala overeem/ngannou, from a knee from a notorious power hitter. There's absolutely no way he was continuing that fight. Stop being a piece of shit.
 
They were both stupid imho : one for fighting with poor iq and emptying his gas tank with pathetic Td attempts and spinning shit, the other for not controlling his weapons in a fight he was getting the egde on. None of them deserves to be the champion.
Also, fuck Longo Serra with their shitty cornering : how in hell is it complicated to tell your fighter to pace himself and set the fuck up his td with strikes and stop playing ballerina?

That was as blatantly illegal as you can get. Fuck off. Yan deserved to lose his belt.
 
While I agree that Aljo definitely was putting it on. He saw his only opportunity to touch gold after getting spanked and went for it. Dana even made a point of saying at the presser that there was that there was no injury and they are rebooking it ASAP.

However the blame is definitely on Yan, he made a bad mistake and costed him big time.

How in God's name can someone seriously blame sterling for the ending of this fight? Yan kneed a downed opponent. The ref told him before he's downed. He then breaks the rules intentionally and gets dqed. Sterling didn't gave himself the belt. When they gave it to him, he throw it on the ground asap. There is no one else to blame here than Petr Yan. This not a some retards brawling on the street. This is a sport. With rules. And they will book a asap rematch. All these fat weirdos eating chips in their moms basement calling sterling a actor should get a knee to their head while being down.

Damn, Yan is amazing. Every Fight of him is exciting and a Must Watch for every Fan. But he fucked up hard here

Peter Yan is a terrible fighter for making such a dumb mistake. If Aljo would have fought trough, he would have been retarded.

Serra finished GSP, a legit champion. It might have been because he had a great day and GSP had a horrible day (much like say when the 10-6 Giants beat the 16-0 Pats to win the Superbowl, or when the American national hockey team beat the Soviet team to win the gold medal in the 1980 Olympics -- the "Miracle on Ice"), but it was still a legit win.

For that matter, it wasn't Sterling's fault that Yan threw that knee. Yan has no one but himself to blame for being DQ'd. And winning a championship because of an opponent's mistake is part of sport.

Because its a sport, and sports have rules. Why aren't the fighters allowed to bring knives or clubs into the cage? Why aren't they allowed to put metal in their gloves? Because the rules say they can't. Not allowing weapons are also minor technicalities, but that's what rules are -- a list of minor technicalities.

No athlete wants to win a championship like that, NONE. Ya he was gonna lose that fight, but to accused him of taking the easy way out for the win is retarded. Nothing easy about having your face smashed in by an illegal strike, in-fact that's probably the shittiest way out of a fight.

Everyone knows Yan is an unquestionably superior fighter, now, but he also unquestionably earned his DQ. Stop whining.
