Television The Boys Spinoff GEN V (Premieres Sept. 29)

Going for teh blood crowd I see. Will wait for more input before watching. I don't mind a little extensive blood, but they seemed to make a theme of it which might be too much for me
If anything, this will be a toned down version of the things form the comics. That shit was messed up.

Can't wait

Can't wait

Yeah, no fucking way they'd do a direct adaptation of the G Men story arc from the comic. Even by Ennis' standards, that was twisted AF. He obviously really doesn't like the X Men comics <Eek2.0>

I must be getting callus to superpower showz, because as cool as their powers seem to be... I find myself completely disinterested.

Red-Band Trailer for GEN V Previews The Boys Spinoff Series

You had me at, "Clancy Brown":)

Can't wait to find out the story behind the Muppets. Reminds me of the Angel episode...

This will be a hit for amazon

Yup, we're desensitized due to oversaturation. Superheroes are everywhere you look.

That said, the Boys are not just about superpowers. I can only assume Gen V is also more than just that.

Not surprised but still good to know.

I'm watching episode 1 now. Paused to get some food.
I wonder why they produced this before The Boys season 4. Maybe the 4th season closes a lot of doors/stories. They might be planning to end it sooner rather than later.
It derived so much from the comic that we can't have an educated guess. Surely But very few series go much longer than 5 seasons. And the ending will obviously be much different from the comics.

This sounds terrible. Maybe, a spinoff with the deep could work. Good luck to them, I like season 2 so far
Spinoff with The Deep? Seriously?
Like a soft porn, zoo... no, seasex... whatever the term, we don't need that.
Jokes aside, he would make a better solo than all other 6. They're shallow.

It is called Inter-species erotica

Yeah, I don't think were getting President Homelander

Yeah, I don't think were getting President Homelander

Why?
Now you mentioned, they could end the series exactly as Homelander gets elected. Could be perfect.

The Boys is a series that jokes about both political sides, but it gives the left an open-handed slap on the shoulder while giving the right a closed-fist haymaker to the jaw.

They absolutely would make Homelander elected President as a not-subtle analogy for Trump and the electorate of who elected them (Trump & Homelander).

I love the show, and enjoy it as it is as a commentary of Americana & Super Hero culture by an author who isn't a fan of either, Garth Ennis. But sometimes its commentary/analogies are far too obvious.

Just started episode 1 and lost interest after the first 2 min. Same old formula, not interested in highschool drama, stopped watching after 5.

In the comics homelander becomes president at one point.

Wasn't trying to tie it to trumptards

Episode 1 is just boys in high school. So it's fun. And I'll stick around for perky titties
