Too much overhype for Elden Ring imo. gave it a 7 fun gameplay but repetitive and frankly really really dislike the lack of storytelling. The 30 second ending ruined the game for me.

For me GOW vastly superior game in terms of emotional engagement which is basically zero in Elden Ring.

That said, ER pushed the needle forward. They innovated and cracked open a whole new way of looking at open world philosophy.

Some kid was on stage with Miyazaki and his people, after Miyazaki spoke the kid got on the mic and said something about Bill Clinton. It was fucking weird, he got escorted out pretty quickly.

Have to feel a bit bad for SSM. They put their heart and soul into that game. Corey would have probably been a better director.

That said, ER pushed the needle forward. They innovated and cracked open a whole new way of looking at open world philosophy.

Cory would not have had a 3 hour fruit picking borefest with the hippie chick, while combating a dementia-laden grandma. The pacing in GOWR is freaking awful. I'm going to finish it, but after the painful Angrboda sequence, I've yet to pick it back up.

It has a lot going for it, namely gorgeous visuals and a compelling story/characters, but GOWR's level design for the most part is underwhelming.

ER engaged me throughout, always awing me with one set piece reveal after another. The only downturns for me were the rinse/repeat dungeons, however, those were optional at least.

That was so bizarre. Was he a Clinton victim or something lol?

Really interested in Judas but I've read leaks of development hell(kinda par for the course for Ken Levine though) if he doesn't speak overly ambitious of the game over the coming year(s), everything should be relatively fine.

Forgot about judas. I'm glad Levine is back, thought this game was vapor. Hopefully it's a banger!
