The greatest moment in MMA history

The reality is that in fighting in general... size matters alot and intangibles like punching power, ability to take punches, and a general "fighting will" can overcome skill nearly always.

The reason they don't is because fighting is separated by weight classes and those factors are typically close to equal letting alot less important skills come into play. There is a reason EVERYBODY cuts weight.

People clown guys like Tuivasa as being fat scrubs but if he fought prime Khabib he would easily KO him in a minute or less. With 10x less skill. It's just the way it is.

Heavyweights dont "suck". Its just in actual fair hand to hand combat skill is much less important then people want to believe. You see it all the time on this site with people claiming 150 lbs pro fighters would easily beat 260 lbs atheltic weight lifters. Imagine if those fights actually were set up and took place the cope of MMA fans would be unreal.

If someone is stronger than you by 30% you can't hold them down, if someone can take your punches and you can't take theirs there is not much you can do. This also seems to become a Grey area around 230+ LBS where most people are capable of KOing even 300+ lbs monsters.

I'm guessing you've never grappled with an experienced Wrestler, based on everything you're stammering here.

The only problem with that fight is that it made Floyd way too shook to ever consider boxing Jake. He would've gladly fought Jake first and we truly would've seen Floyd take his first KO loss.

I don't know about that. Logan is worse than Jake, but he used his wrestling to great effect against Floyd. Even assuming Jake was equally good at that, it's hard to set up a knockout with that.

Its weird how the narrative changed because people in here were trashing the UFC HW for years when Francis was Koing people with his one dimensional striking. Now Francis is being accepted as one of their own and defying the boxing odds so "HW boxing is now trash"

He didn't really humiliate MMA. The heavyweight division was already a joke for the most part, and the first time he fought Stipe he got destroyed. He also got outstruck in his last fight in MMA.

anybody that claims that the Miocic seen above in the gif you posted, looks in any way the same as the skinny, non explosive old man that fought Ngannou in the second fight, is being dishonest

yes, Ngannou made adjustments and studies a lot of video footage clearly...but people forget that Miocic didn't just wrestle Ngannou in the first fight, but was piecing him up on the feet as well and hitting him with bombs. credit to Ngannou's chin but he was still getting pieced up

Entry level when it comes to combat sport is low and the bigger the divison the lower it becomes.

I do hope that Fury is still there since i want an elite fight vs Usyk. This win doesnt mean much to me if Fury isnt very close his best version, so lets cross fingers.

Ngannou put his hours and took that fight 100% srs. Just like Burley who didnt have any combat expierence and beat an elite wrestler and very good prospect in like 3 months or Dat Nguyen who many thought would lose to Johnny Bedford due size and clinch but Nguyen put some work and made the bigger man run like a bitch.

I think if you give proper credit to Francis for being a phenomenal athlete that’s just got superior genetics to the vast majority of the planet then maybe he didn’t humiliate either. Maybe Francis is just the greatest combat sports talent of all time.
