Why are tv repair shops failing?

I thought taxi drivers are safe if you are in a city that has like a 'union' for taxi drivers. If you are in a major metropolitan city that has good public transportation like NYC (last I checked) i'd think you'd be good. Yeah tons of people take subway/metro, rail and trams. However, the service for taxi is still needed and often protected by a union isn't it?

Integrated circuits are getting smaller so you gotta buy whole boards not just replace a capacitor. Labor rate is higher. Obsolescence is rising while prices are falling. Less electrical engineers willing to work for hourly pay.

If you are younger then 40, the answer is just about everything. The machines are coming.

I dont know if NYC has Uber, but the taxi license is like $300k (I hear). Imagine they now lose 10, then 20 then 50 % of their business to Uber

NYC has uber.

But Toronto for instance put in tons of regulations. Of course though it is Canada and liberals there value unions and protection stuff more than even say NYC. Uber however like a month or so ago pulled out of Denmark entirely citing regulatory changes in Danish law. But yeah stuff like Uber can surely do damage to the taxi industry of a city.

I used to think corner shops would've died a slow death from about 10 years ago, thanks to Tesco Metro and Sainsbury Local. They seem to have held strong.

who is hiring male weatherman we don't watch the female weather girls for the weather. those guys mudt have some sort of union who is tuning to watch an old man do weather on tv.

In a few years, add truck driver and airline pilot to that list. Shit will be automated for sure.

Ouch!!! Ouch!!!

Yep I can say the travel agency industry has shrunk in terms of numbers of people employed so much automation this days, like you can organize your own travel plans true, Agoda,Expedia,Cheap tickets etc.

Before I left the company, the other agents were let go and the rest where merely glorified customer service reps.
Our man power is mostly focused on corporate travel, because that is the only thing today that really needs lots assistance from travel agents.

The leisure travel department was eventually disbanded and was incorporated in my work load, I hardly get customers who eventually purchased something, they where mostly inquiries about travel packages they saw on our website.
