Lots of fantastic songs from yesteryear but for me the CHiPs one take the top spot. The Season 2 soundtrack is the best; because of the drum and base line
What makes the CHiPs intro soo dam good - apart from the tune - is the cut to close-up just flows soooo perfectly with the melody.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find any of the 2000s and later TV themes to be memorable. There was just something about the 70s and 80s themes that sounded happy and just had oomph.
