Thinking of visiting Ring to Cage Shop in NJ need to buy jump rope

I have a weighted jump rope. I don't really like it. I am looking for more endurance/cardio based lighter jump rope than a heavy weighted one. Anyone have any good suggestions for the 'type' of jump rope? A simple one, a swivel etc?

I got a few from RX. They are totally awesome, I recently got a complete crossrope 2.0 set which I will review soon.

I like both of these ropes for different reasons. The RX are nice because they are fairly simple design but very high quality and you buy the rope in any length/weight/color you want, you can also switch to a heavy/lighter rope if you want.

The crossrope is a totally badass thing, I got the complete set (2 handles and 7??? ropes). The ropes go from sub 2oz up to 3lb....The day I got it, I used the heavy handles and the 3lb rope it was brutal. The lighter handles with lighter cables are awesome, its ridiculously easy to switch cables and the company is awesome to deal with, the owner is a cool guy and I can personally speak to their customer service and high quality products.

I'll chime in again to say:

DONT, DO-NOT but a Buddy Lee jumprope, they suck, I broke 2 of them. For the price they charge, they are not worth it.

get a crossrope or an RX.

I had a buddy lee rope from 2001-2003 and it worked perfectly until my friend broke it trying to use it as am weapon one drunk night. I think buddy lee changed manufactures because I hear nothing but bad things about the rope.

I like thai styled jump ropes, so I use the life fitness variety.

I have that crossrope set, its pretty awesome. Unfortunatly, I got it the day before I left to Thailand so I havn't had a lot of time to play with it. The black friday sale basically covered the overseas shipping to China. The 3lb cable is more beastly than I ever imagined.

I just use a cheapo 3$ one. Works for me. Still work up a nice sweat after the 4 3 minute rounds
