Keeping Joe Cocker's rendition of With a little help from my friends.

Dule Hill as the dad.

Looks quality.

Fred Savage being involved as an executive producer is a plus.

Dule Hill being part of the main cast is a massive plus.

Looks like one of the better new network TV shows I've seen tv spots for.

Didn't know Savage was involved, good news.

I really like Dule as well. It's nice to see another show with a nuclear family, I just hope they don't beat us over the head about evil whitey. It's been done to death! I'll def check this out tho.

I loved the OG show, one of the best programs ever made.

For the cottage I have a set of blue flannel sheets , as it can get cold in there and they are warm, plus it reminds of the the wonder years lol, cozy memories

Let me guess.

Ethnic family with at least 1 gay?

Indifferent. Watched the clip tho, it looks pretty decent tbh. Would give it a watch

Not sure why people get upset at these reboots. You dont have to watch it and the original still exists.

Not really a reboot but the same way of telling a story from a different perspective, right? Don Cheadles voice can carry it if all else fails.

Was intrigued enough to check out the IMDB. It’s set in Late 60s Montgomery, Alabama… yeah no. I’m going to skip this remake. Anyone who’s familiar with American history knows what happened there and what that means a it pertains to the direction of the series.

I’m not interested in watching victimization porn, even if it’s in the skin of one of the best series of my childhood. Don’t need preaching to or enlightenment. I actually much prefer @jx820 take on a remake. Why couldn’t they do something like that?

I just noticed this today. Wow I never thought they would do a remake, reboot or I guess a reimagination of this. Whatever they may call it.

What's your thoughts on this?

I personally think they shouldn't rekindle what was one of the best shows of all-time. It just doesn't seem right, but you never know it maybe good. Will just got to see how it goes.

Why the fuck cant they just create something new. Is there no more damn original thought?

I was a fan of the original Wonder Years. Not a fan of all these reboots but it will be interesting to see the show through a black kid's point of view growing up in the 60s.

Having Fred Savage on board as a writer/producer/director is a good thing. Hope some of the original cast can make a few cameos throughout the season/s.

Good job keeping the original theme song too. If it ain't broke...
I'm willing to be it'll be less the show through a black kid's point of view growing up in the 60s, and more the 2021 point of view of a black kid growing up in the 60s. Most of the writers on the original Wonder Years were actually 60s kids, while the writers on this are probably 90s kids and millennials. And let's be honest, authenticity isn't exactly networks' game these days, they're mostly into current political trends, and reboots of other old shows have been pretty crap.

Don Cheadle is a good choice for narrator, I just wouldn't have much hope for network writers.

The original wonder years was a brilliantly made show. Between the solid acting, the history, the music it really hit on all notes.

no new remake will come close to topping it

I enjoy getting my childhood shit on, don’t you ?
Now waiting for that Mr Rogers remake to make my life complete.

Mr Rogerio's Favela ?

I like Dule Hill, maybe it should have been set in the 80s though.

That’s just racist, man.

<{nope}>
Huh? How so?
Canaries were the bird of choice for checking the air quality in mines. Not sure how race is even relevant?

Im sure he meant coronary, but my inner smartass wouldn't let me let it go.

Wonder years was decent in the 90s ....... do t think this version "Woke" years will be able to match it.

But Dule Hill adds greatness to everything he does. I guess the incoming woke messages is why I am very hesitant.
