there needs to be a champions clause that you need to fight 2x a year. Minimum.

Agreed. Jones, Silva, and GSP all averaged at least 2 fights a year while champ. Includes all suspensions, injuries, long layoffs, and even a few years of only 1 fight or so. They just don't make them like they used to.

No he's not, you're making things up. Actually DC made up that narrative to make himself look better, and you're just repeating it.

The only time Stipe fought less than twice a year on average is recently during his trilogy of fights with DC, and that's because DC cherry picked Lewis and made Stipe wait over a year for a rematch. Then he got surgery, and still would've fought earlier than he did if it weren't for the corona lockdown.
This was the time when DC started making a lot of noise about Stipe's inactivity, it was completely self-serving and hypocritical.

Now Stipe is scheduled to rematch Ngannou, the only test left for him in the division because he cleared out his division. So with due respect you're factually incorrect and are just being a hater.

Do the math, Stipe has fought an average of 1.88 times per year in the UFC.
But if you remove the second and third DC fights, that's 15 fights in less than 7 years which is slightly more than 2 fights per year.
And if you look at his first run as champion from when he beat Werdum to when he lost to DC, that's 5 fights in a little over two years which again is slightly more than 2 fights per year.
