59 reviews now and the tomato meter is at 51%
I don't consider that to be a laughing matter.
But at least at 51% that means that more than half of critics turned in a positive review.

I'm serious about Tomb Raider.
Goddamn, we've moved on from bad movie adaption of games to mediocre movie adaptions of games. Solid improvement.
The second Alicia kicked Walton in the face in the clip shown during this interview, I was sold. No matter what the reviews say.
Stuckmann's take:
Saw it tonight and enjoyed it
I'm going to echo Katsumi Yamada and give it a 7.5
Hope it does well because I would enjoy a sequel
Certainly entertaining and well done. My one complaint (and it's not much of one) is that it felt redundant of every other heroic cave adventurer movie we've ever seen. That said, the two scenes with Frost were quite funny, Goggins was a solid villain, the action scenes were good, the plot was tight, and Vikander was a good film hero.
Bring on the sequel. Surprised it's only tracking for 20 mill weekend though. Bad marketing or was Jolie the real operating factor in why the first one did so well.
You would think with all the "QUEEN" "Woman Rule" shit this would do a lot bigger than 20 million
Truth is people really don't give a shit about female characters unless they are in a comic book or Star Wars movie
Annihilation flopped hard and I enjoyed that movie, I just came back from seeing Tomb Raider and was pleasantly surprised. This movie was extremely respectful to the source material. Sadly it is going to flop too. I think at this point if it isn't a superhero film we can pretty much assume it is going to flop. People just save their money for the Marvel films and don't bother with anything else. It is sad.
