I go for the tripod sweep frequently when I am in rdlr. When I hit it, I'll keep their ankle controlled and elevated as I come up into top half.

Does anyone do it differently? Anyone have a clean pass after hitting a tripod sweep? Kent Peters posted an ankle control backstep video recently and I'm thinking there might be something there if you hit the tripod sweep, thoughts? Is there a sweet leg entry? Maybe kicking my free leg around and over their head and fall into honey hole?

What’s really key to following up with a key pass is keeping your grip on their arm. As they fall down use it to pull yourself up. So you move in tandem, as the go down you move up. This and posting your arm down to stop them from bringing a knee in should give you a clean route to pass.

At least it has in my experience
