the real world is a mixture of his supporters and his critics. You can find a large crowd of people of the "real world" at places like a baseball stadium. When he shows up at public events indicative of the "real world", we see and, more importantly, hear the real support. Chants of "lock him up!" occurred spontaneously and had never been mentioned anywhere before. It was quite beautiful.
