Yesterday, team dumpster fire DID file an appeal to the CO Supreme court ballot removal case with Scotus (with a whole day to spare!)

I thought that maybe they'd let it lie, rather than force the issue, because if Scotus affirms, it's game over for Trump 2024. I feel like it's a gamble they didn't need to take, but maybe they thought there would be more cases after Maine removed tiny-D as well.

So, Scotus can either agree to hear it, or punt it to Congress, or leave it status quo ie) Individual state's decision.

I have no idea, but I really hope Scotus weighs in, because that will put the issue to bed either way. I suspect that Scotus will try to punt it to congress, which would be such a cop out. We'll see.

The problem is this wont stop the far right. Steve Bannon was on some kind of Podcast where the hosts were being oppositional to try to trigger him and they were asking what happens if there's no Donald Trump and Bannon scolded them on how "the movement" is much bigger than Trump, how they're prepared to proceed without him. Losing Trump will cripple it, but they will still be intent on weakening the protections of democracy until they can install autocracy.
