As an Irish person I feel the need to disown these drunken retards. I am a big McGregor fan but there's no denying that he enjoys a big following among lowest-common-denominator-types over here. The only thing I will say in their defence is that there's no genuine malice in anything they're saying - it's basically just an excuse to get drunk and sing.

I'm not Irish but I did get the impression it was all in good fun, like a roast. I did not get the same impression from the Brazilian Q&A:s, which seemed to be more malicious and cringe worthy. But then again I don't understand the language so I might have gotten the wrong impression. The sheer energy of the Irish crowd is unmatched though. That part was spectacular.
