The reason for "lock him up for life" bang wagon is a result of the cumulative actions of this guy. He has assaulted people before, and often posts angry Youtube videos about how he wants to beat people up and hurt others.

Dogs get put down for less than what this guy has committed.

I'm not a War machine defender, but his suicide note does give me some sympathy for him. The fact that he referenced that they had gotten back together and she hinted for him to get her a ring, makes it kind of hard to believe her version of the story which says they weren't together. He also had they key to her house which supported what he was saying.

Also the part about how he wishes he hadn't fought back against the guy casts some doubt about who initiated the physical confrontation. Like the above poster says, I can't see someone throwing out a bunch of lies of he is about to kill himself.

Not sure how War Machine seems more credible to you than Christy Mac. You don't think someone who has extreme anger problems and crippling mental issues in navigating the real world might imagine a hinted wedding proposal or just outright lie about it?

I dont consider either of them to be beacons of truth. I've already outlined why i'm more inclined to believe him in this case. Her stories have holes in it, and she is JUST as unstable as he is.

Maybe he knew they would find him before he died, so he wrote a letter saying he's innocent and hung himself. The letter was mostly him talking shit about Mack, what kind of suicide letter is that.

He was not breathing when they found him and did not have a pulse. He was clinically dead and resuscitated by the guard on site. If was on suicide watch they were definitely not paying any attention to him.

I can tell you how it happened. It happened after 15+ years of a man refusing or unable to face the truth about his own life and his ability to function within it while training himself to be more and more dangerous and while embracing his personal problems as a life manifesto.

It literally does not matter what happened leading up to it. Nothing that can be said can make his unreasonable act reasonable. Even if she had laid a trap, called him over and had her lover try to murder WM... WM would have ceased to be a victim the minute she was disarmed and he decided to then murder her. But that's not what happened. Instead we've got a violent man with a history of abuse and possessiveness and a girl with whom they've had many starts and stops. Anyone who thinks that their on-again-off-again relationship is an indicator that he thought they were getting married, and not consider the possibility that EVERY abusive relationship has an on-again-off-again quality because the abuser refuses to let go, is either being willfully ignorant or hasn't met enough people in the world.

He's had to lie to himself for his entire life. As a child that's an understandable way of coping. As an adult it's delusional. He's literally spent decades twisting the reality of life into things that fit his delusions. If she's lied to herself about anything, you can put forward the argument that it's that she can sell her body for money and not debase herself. In comparison, he firmly believes that he can abuse people (and her specifically) for years and attempt to murder her and still be the victim. You're stating that the relatively minor lies she has to feed herself and the world to enforce her delusions make her less reliable than WM, who has to twist the events of the world like a true madman in order to fit it into his belief system. By virtue of the sheer amount of lying he has to do (to himself, to everyone) to believe what he does means he is a much more dubious source than she is. His suicide note, while having lovely penmanship, is the work of a man truly out of touch with reality. He is not a reliable source on anything that happens in the real world.

WM stated in his note that he wasn't meant for these times and also his quotation was alluding to the fact that those with power should exert it over others.

In both cases he is making it clear that might equals right in his mind, at least when it comes to physical confrontation on an individual level. WM dreams of living as a caveman where he could just kill and rape all day as long if he was the biggest toughest dude. This is his natural impulse and he states as much in his suicide note.

This makes him very unfit to live freely in society as he ultimately thinks it is "right" to give in to his violent impulses. He restrains himself to avoid going to jail, but not out of any conviction.

I think what some people here don't get is that people like WM and many other horrible criminals have all sorts of positive attributes, can be charismatic, smart, funny, talented etc...but if at the end of the day they are a danger to society they unfortunately need to be locked up or closely monitored.
