Weidman’s Resume Has Not Held Up Well

Like Anthony Pettis, at one time, him and Weidman were predicted to be on MMA's Mount Rushmore lol, ironically both at the same time.
The fucking hype was insane,...look at them both now.

UFC hypes everyone up to sell more tickets and merchandise. Dana wouldn't stop promoting Ngannou instead of Stipe in their first fight. Ford Escort and all of that. They were hyping up Usman like crazy for him against Edwards 2 and letting him talk about boxing Canelo and moving up to LHW and all sorts of stupid nonsense. They hyped up Adesanya so badly against Jan that commentary lost their minds and hallucinated Adesanya winning that fight with nothing but feints.

Weidman was the potential GOAT until he was no longer Dana's friend. Same with everyone else basically. If Chimaev loses this weekend his stock plummets into nothing and Usman becomes a potential two weight champ and GOAT candidate. The UFC promotion machine is predictable and hilarious.

Meh underrating the Machida win quite a bit imo.

Should've retired after 3 title defenses, by Khabib fans logic that would have solidified him as the consensus P4P Goat, simply by being undefeated and setting no new record whatsoever

Machida was a plenty strong contender at the time / was widely viewed as the toughest matchup possible for Chris (great TDD + great striking) and he looked great at MW.

It'd be better if you just admitted you weren't watching back then instead of shit-talking about events you didn't watch.
You live in dreamland. Weidman was never good, not even being sarcastic. Take that shit out of your sig it's embarrassing.

Remember when he got triple-knee KO’d?

you are why the world sucks

Haters. Post USADA Weidman will win a boring decision via IVs and PEDS before getting KOd again.

He's still the best MW of all time. He beat prime Anderson twice.
Imagine thinking Anderson Silva was at his prime at 38 years of age and after 37 pro MMA fights.

He had a couple of good wins, but beyond that I think people always recognized that he didn't leave much of a legacy apart from being the guy who ended Anderson Silva's reign.

That's what he'll always be known for.
