Went on a Conspiracy Binge This Morning... Anyone Heard of ElsaGate?

It started with me reading a subreddit called NoSleep, particularly this story:

https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/7d5in3/a_group_of_perverts_are_targeting_kids_on_youtube/

It was an interesting story. Anyone who doesn't know about Reddit's NoSleep section, its a subreddit for scary stories. Everyone in the comments are supposed to act like the story is real and not call bullshit, for the sake of the page.

This one didn't follow that trend though and the comments began to discuss a conspiracy picking up steam about child traffickers targeting young children through these strange youtube videos. I youtubed "elsagate" and saw a bunch of videos exposing these sick fucks and it really started turning my stomach.

"ElsaGate" is a conspiracy picking up steam that involves child pedophilia rings / traffickers looking to desensitize and confuse children through strange youtube videos that use well known disney/marvel characters. Youtube has done nothing to address the issue.

I've never been one to believe in conspiracy theories but these videos are all STILL UP on Youtube!! You can easily look them up. Why they haven't been removed is beyond me. They're strange as fuck, obviously not for children yet they depict children disney and marvel characters to get them to click. Youtube has seemingly done nothing.

For anyone who looks into it, note the comments. Often in Russian and other languages or just sequences of letters and numbers that people seem to think are code for people interested in pedophilia.

Anyone who is interested in conspiracy theories, look into this one. It's pretty unnerving. I don't have children, but I have a niece who is always on YouTube and this kind of stuff is very worrisome. Here are some videos posted to YouTube "exposing" the conspiracy.

There's also an actual Subreddit for Elsagate now. https://www.reddit.com/r/ElsaGate/

The mother of a girl in daycare with my two year old son came across this. Her daughter was watching Paw Patrol or something on YouTube on an iPad, then the mom suddenly heard a ton of profanity coming from it so she ran into the room to take it away.

Some sick bastards out there for sure.

I'm honestly very surprised at how many people have come across this. I probably shouldn't be because literally every kid nowadays is in love with YouTube.

Yeah weird shit. Some people have apparently been complaining to Youtube and even Mavel/disney for like a year and nothing happened until some more mainstream publications touched on it recently.

YT bans videos for political speech and Marvel-Disney are really strict with their character usage/copyright claims. Seems weird they didn't care about this.

I'm not going down the rabbit hole on this. Could be very dark backgrounds and intentions/agenda to all this stuff. Hopefully this gets more parents to pay attention to what their kids watch on the internet.

I worry for children.

When I have kids they won't be allowed on the internet till their mid-late teenage years.

To give you all more anecdotes from real life, though unrelated to 'elsagate'. A former colleague mentioned how her young daughter became a big Nicki Minaj fan, she loved the 'anaconda' song and all video. The thing is, it's not Nickis fault really, she's not targeting this to children. But with the internet they stumble across it easily. It was trending on youtube (as big songs do) and her daughter clicked on it. She sings the lyrics to it and stuff, the girl is like 5-6 I think.

Another colleague replied to her saying this, his wife nearly gave him a bollocking because 'porn' was on the internet search history, he swore up and down he didn't look it up and that she should ask their young daughter about it. She fessed up and said she was typing in the lyrics to a Rihanna song "pouring rain". Her poor spelling lead to searching up 'porn'. I think she was around 6 as well.

It's a dangerous place for young kids.

Unfortunately kids get exposed to this junk. When I was 10 I was watching 'bra and panties' matches on the WWE, watching horror movies (with topless women, brutal murders) and a few years later started viewing pornography. It's a shame things have to be this way.

I have a younger cousin I worry about, he's part of that generation which has grew up on the internet. I didn't even have a computer till I was 12 and didn't go on to the internet much till I was 13. These days ? very young children are browsing the place stumbling over all sorts of stuff.

Well apparently there's a Youtube kids app and eventually if you watch videos long enough these will start to show up in succession. Parents use computers as a babysitter now.

Have you seen threads on rconspircy. They're the ones all over this and who rally broke this open.

There's definitely going to be a learning curve of sorts for people parenting the up and coming generation. This is the first generation that has this much access to the internet pretty much wherever they want. I'm only 23 and I was on the computer as a kid but we didn't have things like tablets, etc. We had shitty dial up internet and very limited means of accessing anything we weren't supposed to. Plus most games we wanted to play were still on CDs at that point.

The internet is amazing and does so much good, but people will twist and manipulate anything. And the internet is literally ingrained in this generation. It's a daily part of their lives. Some higher end schools even rent out tablets for homework to kids.

The weirdest thing about these videos is the comments section. Some of them are in foreign languages, but others are filled with this hidden language that has to be decrypted in some way, which I assume originates from the dark web.

Someone on Reddit has decoded it. A lot of them lead to strange Twitter pages with more code.

My youngest was watching some toon yesterday that featured gummy bears injecting stuff into each others butts (with a syringe) and farting out clouds of green gas. It was Chinese I think. But I've noticed some odd Russian ones as well. I turned that shit off but I'm definitely going to be paying much closer attention to this shitbaggery.

ITS A CONSPIRACY!

about what?

TO HIDE THE TRUTH!

but whats the truth?

THAT THERE'S A CONSPIRACY!

-------------

I decoded the secret message...

What was the secret?

More secret code.

Wtf? I’ve never seen anything like that and I watch tons of YouTube videos.
They seem to be mixed into all the legit kids videos. My youngest watches toons like a I used to browse my...ahem, back when the Web first became big. Clicking a new video (new pics, in my case.heh) every 30 seconds until settling on a suitable one. I've seen Minnie eating ice cream while her apt building burns down, the other tenants wailing in pain. I've also heard my wife complain of this as well. We didn't expect it was anything sinister, just really weird.

It seems like an army of bots that got out of control. There are dozens and dozens of animation videos with the same color schemes, same songs like this weird finger family shit, just with all sorts of variations. Videos with millions of views yet less than 100 comments, with all of the comments being nonsense, or sometimes foreign language, or often comments from similar types of channels saying "This is so amazing and funny!" stuff like that.

This is seriously bizarre shit.

Likes and dislikes are always disabled as well.

Minnie eating ice cream while her apt burns down? That is so much weirder than the sexual innuendo I was expecting. Everything about this gets weirder the more you guys tell me. What in the fuck is going on?

There are some fucked up people about. Weirdos. Thanks for the heads up.

I've never heard of any of this until now. Jesus, that's fucked. I just read that whole story on Reddit that you linked. I want to investigate further, but i don't want that stuff coming up on my Youtube page later and i definitely don't want to be linked to it. Fucking weird.

It's really fucked up. Me and my woman already went down this rabbit hole because we know this lady whose kid came across some fucked up Pepa Pig cartoon or something a couple weeks ago. I was legit gonna start a thread on it but then I said fuck it, this shit is too messed up. People make these very cheap videos and drive up the view counts with bots and click farms. These get them pushed to the top of their algorithms so when you just let the videos keep playing, they'll come up. With the most popular characters, Elsa, Spiderman, Paw Patrol, Minions etc

I guess it's just a way to make money, they drive up the view counts on videos that are extremely cheap to make using some of the most popular licensed characters in the world for free. They've traced some of it back to these people who used to make big money making those staged prank Youtube videos. But if it's just for money, why all the fucked up disturbing themes, running through both the cartoon ones and the live action cosplaying ones? Kids getting abducted and tied up, blood/violence, injections, pregnancy/abortions, shitting and pissing, etc. And all targeted at very small kids, we're talking toddlers. Seriously wtf is the deal here? Youtube leaves these channels up, dozens maybe hundreds of them. I'm surprised that a company like Disney wouldn't be more aggressive in going after copyright infringement like this, when some of their biggest characters are being used in lewd and disturbing ways. I saw someone online say that some of it could be covered under First Amendment because it's satire? I don't know how it all works but I think these big companies would show some concern.

This reddit here shows a bunch of the channels for both the animated and the live action ones. If you just scroll down looking at the thumbnails, you get a sense that something isn't right.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ElsaGate/comments/6o6baf/what_is_elsagate/

Then you see a Youtube channel like this. Why does Youtube keep some shit like this up?

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3EBIU5dnMXxL1px1Bg_MFg

Bottom line is if you want to leave your kid with something to watch it should be on some kind of Netflix type app, not something where it's user-generated content. But really when we're talking about the age of kid that this shit is aimed for, please people let's not just put these fuckin screens in their faces for hours at a time. I think there's gonna be some serious problems with the kids being raised this way that I see now that are just babies and toddlers now. Seeing these disturbing videos is a problem in and of itself but it's part of a much larger problem for these kids.

Look fellas. Our children will grow up wanting to attend concerts and look like Ariane Grande and Nicki Minaj. We / they are doomed, lets be real.
