I've seen Yodsanklai fight in what looks like nearly bareknuckle, almost Lethwei style without the headbutts, in Thai Fight.

I'm sure you've all seen it.

Are they only wearing a bit of hand wrapping to over the hands?

It's like an MMA glove with a wrap over it so it's got some cushion.

Ah, I see.

So it's not what I thought.

I have to ask why Muay Thai adopted gloves and wraps?

I heard something about a death in the ring a century ago, but, they throw kicks, knees and elbows bare, how would bareknuckle make much of a difference?

You're more likely to break your unprotected hand if throwing full force, so that'd make power punching much less likely/more calculated.

You can do more damage to the head/brain with a gloved hand. Bareknucle you're less reckless, if you KO someone with a punch you timed it right, it's not due to cumulative damage due to the added durability from a glove.

Gloves = Greater head trauma from punching is what I'm getting at basically.

Hemp rope and glass. but white glass and small pieces so you don't see that
