What is The Best 90s Sport Car?

Real talk, I think the RX-7 is much more beautiful than the Diablo. I think most Lambos are ugly anyway, while the RX-7 is a timeless masterpiece. It's up there with the 1st gen Viper (also a 90's legend).

RX-7 is timeless, a well preserved example will be worth a fortune in 20-30 years I’d bet, especially as electric cars become the norm and the wankel becomes a positive for how uncommon it was.

maserati shamal was nice.

Lotus Esprit V8

Classics like the Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi EVO and Nissan Skyline deserve a mention.

This is the correct answer. To see what a phenomenal accomplishment this car was, just look at this list:

It's literally the only car listed here from the 20th century. Still hanging with the big boys.

I held the "world's fastest production car" for over a decade - unheard of.

Gordon Murray was an absolute genius

My mate had one of them. His was owned by a dealer, fully loaded Evo, registered 2 years after they went out of production. Absolutely beautiful it was. He put 90k on it in 4 years driving to & from work, then sold it when he was short of cash for £3.4k in the early 00s. I reckon it’d sell for 20 times that amount now. Without question, the best handling car I’ve ever driven - utterly sublime.

Look at it!!! Would that I could embed the sounds of that beautiful rotary WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPRRRRRRRRRRR and the crisp blowoff valve hissing past the corners

Y'all crazy thinking a RX7 is better than a 3000gt.

Why do I suddenly have this urge to play Super Sprint and Super Mario Brothers 2?

Greats picks, gents, Lotus Carlton, MacLaren F1, RX7, I'm sold.

the 3000GT Vr4 was the shit, but it weighed a lot. an Eclipse GSX (or Eagle Talon TSi, or that one Stealth model) had many of the same features like AWC, etc...

i won't lie, i liked the SHO Taurus, it could easily be a sleeper

the Alfa Romeo GTV was smooth as well

Technically this is an 80s car as they stopped making the IROC in 1990. They did keep the body style for two more years and just called the V8 a Z-28.

If you talking 90s Camaros... my favorites are the 93 Indy Pace car (My first Camaro was a red 93 Z-28) which was the first year of the fourth gen body style.. but from a performance standpoint it had to be the 98 or 99 which had the LS1 engine.
